Charles O'Neil is a full time artist with a wide range of interests and a long affiliation with the Haliburton School of The Arts. With a background in drawing and painting, by 1996, he became interested in sculpting. Working mainly in metal wire his work is now featured in galleries across Canada as well as internationally. His wire sculptures vary in size and construction, and are found in both private and corporate collections. Some of his latest public sculptures can be found at Toronto International Airport, Mount Sinai Hospital and The Haliburton Sculpture Forest.

Charles has earned a Certificate in Artist Blacksmithing and a Diploma in Visual and Creative Arts from Sir Sandford Fleming College. He has been a faculty member of The Haliburton School of The Arts since 1997, teaching both teen and adult courses in Wire Sculpture, Drawing and Painting. In December, 2003, Charles had the pleasure of being an Artist in Residence for The Arts Council ~ Haliburton Highlands and the Haliburton County Development Corporation. Charles is a member of the Haliburton County Studio Tour and his work is on display at the Ethel Curry Gallery in Haliburton as well as the Carole Finn Gallery.
As well as having work in many private collections, both in Canada and abroad, Charles' sculptures can be found in the corporate collections of:
